Junior High

SILC Online offers a unique approach to online learning in that students receive one hour of live instruction per week for each course with the remaining time being an independent (asynchronous) learning environment under the guidance of our certified SILC teachers. Students are encouraged to participate in person for the live instruction and are welcome to attend the Learning Centre Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30.

Students will be a part of a virtual learning environment through the online platform Canvas, where they, along with their teachers, collaborate during the scheduled school hours. 

The SILC Online program offers students an opportunity to take online courses from their home, at their pace; we truly are a Flexible Learning Environment! 

Communication amongst teachers and students will occur via our Division platforms: Canvas, EICS Gmail account, Google Meets, and Google Chat. Students can request live teacher support using Google Meets or make an appointment and come into the Learning Centre for an in-person meeting. 

Keeping up with the work every day will ensure success! Remember, parents are our partners, and your child's success is both of our responsibilities!
